David Kondrup is an author, a professional speaker, a college professor, trainer, and consultant  specializing in the protection of things that are most important to people and business. He was a 3 Star Chief, third in command of a 1,260-person law enforcement agency serving 1.3 million residents of Nassau County where he also served as the Director of Human Resources and as the NIMS and Incident Command Liaison to the County Office of Emergency Management. He is a 20-year veteran of the New York City Police Department where he commanded personnel in a variety of mission critical assignments, he developed and executed technology, continuity, and contingency plans.

He is Board certified in Security Management, (Certified Protection Professional) by ANSI / ASIS International. David earned a Master of Science Degree from Long Island University, a Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology, and he is a graduate of the NYC Police Academy. He is a licensed private investigator accredited in identity theft and fraud investigation (AIFI). David is also certified by the Disaster Recovery International Institute (DRii) to teach Business Continuity Course BCLE1500, certified by DHS to teach NIMS & Incident Command (ICS) courses, and he holds dual certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute and from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).

David Kondrup spent 4 years as the Director of Business Resiliency and Incident Response for a $50 Billion a year international financial company addressing Natural, Man-made, and
Technological (Cyber) events. He has trained thousands of individuals in emergency
preparedness, business resiliency, leadership, security topics, and the use of the RAVE Panic Button App.
