Allan Liers brings over four decades of hands-on experience in electronic security systems, product innovation, and integrator support.
Starting his career as a technician in the late 1970s, Allan quickly built a reputation for technical expertise and business leadership. He founded and ran Island Alarm Company for 12 years before moving into national distribution and eventually co-founding Metro Sales Group with longtime partner Bill Higgins in 2002.

Allan has been at the forefront of technological innovation in surveillance and video recording. He played a key role in launching the first U.S.-made embedded digital video recorder in 2002, and later served as a national product consultant for long-term video archival solutions in 2016. His broad perspective and tech fluency make him a vital advisor for today’s security directors, integrators, and A&Es navigating complex physical security landscapes.

Today, through Metro Security Experts, Allan helps organizations find the right-fit experts, solutions, and manufacturers to drive project success. He remains an active member of the New Jersey Electronic Life Safety Association.

Bill Higgins brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in the physical security industry, including key roles in sales, operations, and executive management with industry giants like Panasonic, Mosler, Wells Fargo Alarm, Vision Systems, and Kratos.

As Co-Founder of Metro Sales Group and a driving force behind the Metro Security Experts platform, Bill specializes in connecting the dots—from product selection to purchasing strategies. His strength lies in leveraging deep relationships across manufacturers, integrators, consultants, and end users to increase success rates and accelerate decision-making.

Bill understands that winning in today’s security market requires more than just product knowledge—it demands insights into purchasing vehicles, market drivers, and project life cycles.
